Ingredients

60 g. date paste
100 g. gluten-free oat flakes, blended
1 tbsp. coconut oil, melted
4 drops of orange essential oil
1 tbsp. cacao or carob powder
3-4 cacao nibs, optional

Raw desserts are easy to make. You can keep them for a long time or freeze them. You can put them in a backpack or handbag as a healthy snack.

They take very little time to prepare and require few ingredients. So, my advice is to make them at home. This way you will always have a taste you like and, most importantly, avoid the "natural" flavors in store-bought raw bars.

I add orange oil to my bars, which gives them an amazing fresh and sweet flavor, but if you prefer you could substitute with something bolder, like peppermint.

Steps

1

In a bowl combine together date paste and blended oat flakes. If you do not have date paste, soak in warm water dates and then blend them with a little warm water.

2

Add melted coconut oil together with orange essential oil. Add in cacao or carob powder and mix well. If you prefer, you can add some cacao nibs.

3

Put the date dough between 2 sheets of parchment paper and roll it to the desired thickness.

4

Cut with a knife in a rectangular shape. If you want bars to go, wrap them with parchment paper.
